Introduction

The program Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Information Technology (B.Sc. CSIT) in Nepal is a designed with academic four-year bachelor Computer course by Tribhuvan University and its affiliated colleges. It is specifically designed to students with a wide range of knowledge in the fields of Information Technology and Computing.

Currently, in Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Information Technology (B.Sc. CSIT), approximately 60 colleges across all over in Nepal, including constituent and affiliate colleges under Tribhuvan University offer this B.Sc. CSIT Program. This program B.Sc. CSIT comprises a total of 126 credit hours and provides various elective options to enhance the learning experience.

B.Sc. CSIT new be lectures, incorporating extensive practical and project work. The program not only delves into the fundamental principles of computing and information technology but also illustrates how these principles can be applied to real-world problems. The course main aims to develop essential skills for both computer professionals and IT specialists.

Objective of B.Sc. CSIT Course

The primary objective of the BSc.CSIT program is to break through the barriers created by conventional IT practices and cover the way for future technological advancements in the IT industry. It also encourages students to pursue careers in information and technical disciplines, enabling them to design and tackle real-world e-systems and create innovative hardware and software solutions tailored to contemporary challenges based on their chosen specifications. The core vision of the B.Sc.CSIT program includes:

Providing essential knowledge for student about IT careers, including practical insights into both hardware and software ability on computer system software. Equipping students with the practical technical knowledge required to handle real-world projects in IT, working as part of a team using various tools employed in the field. Developing in-depth understanding and proficiency in technical programming skills, software design, and computer application. Cultivating logical and creative programming skills needed in the IT industry to solve a variety of computer and IT-related problems. Encouraging and empowering students to become entrepreneurs with significant self-reliance. Supplying skilled manpower to various growing IT companies within and outside the country.

Admission Criteria for B.Sc. CSIT

Candidates seeking admission to the B.Sc CSIT program in Nepal must meet the following conditions:

  1. Have completed 12 years of schooling in the science field or its equivalent, recognized by Tribhuvan University (TU).
  2. Pass the entrance exam conducted by Tribhuvan University (TU) with a score of more than 40%.
  3. Attain a minimum Second Division in their +2 equivalent or have scored at least a C in all subjects during their +2 equivalent (11 and 12). OR Studied A-level with a minimum of D grades in all subjects and must have studied Physics and Mathematics. OR Passed a 3-year Engineer Level program from CTEVT with Mathematics and Physics.
